QWUST
Our Services
Six core service lines. One integrated team. An unwavering commitment to delivering the finest built environments in New York.
Most construction firms specialize in one discipline and subcontract the rest — leaving gaps in accountability, communication, and quality at every hand-off point. QWUST is built differently. Our integrated service model means that the same team that designs your project also engineers it, manages it, and builds it — under one roof, one contract, one standard of excellence.
Whether you're breaking ground on a custom home, launching a major commercial development, or transforming an existing space into something extraordinary, our six service lines work in concert to deliver a seamless experience from the very first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Your home is the most personal building you will ever commission. We build it like it's our own.
QWUST's residential construction practice covers the full spectrum of luxury homebuilding in New York — from a meticulously designed 2,400 sq ft brownstone renovation in Park Slope to a 12,000 sq ft new-construction estate in Westchester. Our residential team brings the same depth of engineering expertise, materials sourcing, and project management rigor that we apply to our largest commercial commissions.
We are licensed general contractors across all five boroughs and Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Our relationships with New York's best subcontractors — plumbers, electricians, tilers, millworkers, glaziers, and landscape architects — have been built over nearly two decades and are the foundation of our ability to deliver bespoke residential work at every scale.
We build the commercial structures that define city skylines and power New York's economy.
QWUST's commercial division has delivered over 4.5 million square feet of Class A commercial space across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and beyond. Our commercial portfolio includes office towers, mixed-use developments, retail centers, hospitality projects, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and cultural buildings — each delivered with the same exacting standards we bring to our most personal residential commissions.
Our commercial teams self-perform critical trade work wherever possible — including concrete superstructures, steel erection, and building envelope — giving us direct control over quality, schedule, and cost at the most consequential phases of any build. Our subcontractor network covers every specialty trade in the New York market, and our vendor relationships deliver material pricing that independent contractors cannot access.
Some of the most extraordinary spaces in New York aren't new — they're transformed.
Renovation is the most demanding form of construction — and the most rewarding. Working within an existing structure requires a depth of diagnostic skill, creative problem-solving, and technical precision that new construction simply doesn't demand. QWUST's renovation team has spent two decades developing exactly those capabilities, in buildings ranging from pre-war Manhattan co-ops to 19th-century SoHo cast-iron lofts to mid-century Brooklyn brownstones.
We approach every renovation with a forensic curiosity — understanding the building before we touch it, anticipating what we'll find inside the walls, and planning for every contingency before demolition begins. This preparation is why our renovation projects consistently finish on time and on budget in a sector notorious for surprises. Whether you're doing a kitchen and bath refresh or a complete gut renovation of a landmark property, QWUST's renovation team delivers the impossible with quiet confidence.
The buildings that last are the ones built on engineering that never compromises.
QWUST's in-house structural engineering team is among the most capable in New York — a group of licensed professional engineers with deep specialization in the geological and regulatory challenges unique to building in the five boroughs. From underpinning aging brownstone foundations to designing the post-tensioned concrete frames of high-rise towers, our engineers solve the problems that others walk away from.
Our engineering practice is built on the principle that structure and architecture are not separate disciplines — they are two aspects of a single design problem. When our engineers and architects work together from the earliest stages of a project, the result is a building that is both beautiful and profoundly sound. We also provide standalone structural engineering and peer review services to architects and developers who require an independent engineering perspective of the highest quality.
A great construction project is 50% bricks and 50% discipline. We master both.
Construction is, at its heart, a management challenge. The best materials and the finest craftspeople deliver nothing without the organizational discipline to sequence work correctly, manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts before they escalate, and keep the client informed and confident throughout. QWUST's project management practice is the invisible backbone of every project we touch — and its strength is the primary reason our clients come back.
Our project managers are PMP-certified, field-experienced, and intensely client-focused. Each PM oversees no more than three active projects at any time — an intentional constraint that ensures they know your building, your priorities, and your concerns as well as you do. Every client receives weekly written progress reports, real-time schedule access, and direct cell phone access to their PM at all hours. We also offer standalone owner's representative and construction management services for clients who are managing their own design team and want QWUST's oversight expertise applied to their project.
Building responsibly isn't a premium option. At QWUST, it's the baseline.
Every building we construct is designed and built with sustainability as a core principle — not a checkbox item on a marketing sheet. Our green building practice is led by LEED-accredited professionals with deep expertise in energy modeling, sustainable materials sourcing, renewable energy integration, and the increasingly demanding sustainability requirements of New York City's Local Law 97 carbon emissions framework.
We are certified builders under the USGBC's LEED program and have delivered LEED Gold and Platinum certified buildings across our portfolio. Our passive house experience — a demanding European standard that produces buildings requiring 70–90% less energy than conventionally constructed peers — is among the deepest of any general contractor in the New York market. Whether you're pursuing formal certification or simply want the most energy-efficient and environmentally responsible building possible, QWUST's green practice delivers results that go far beyond compliance.
Our approach to construction is fundamentally different from what you'll find elsewhere in the New York market. Here's why clients choose QWUST — and why they stay.
Our architects, engineers, and construction teams work under one roof and one contract — eliminating the costly gaps and communication failures that plague traditionally separated design and build programs. You get a single point of accountability and a team that is aligned from the very first sketch.
We share our cost breakdowns, subcontractor bids, and material invoices with our clients on request. There are no hidden margins, no inflated allowances, and no surprise change orders fabricated from ambiguous contract language. Our pricing is what it is — and we stand behind it.
Across 500+ completed projects, we have delivered 98% on or before the contracted completion date. We achieve this through meticulous pre-construction planning, real-time schedule monitoring, and a culture that treats the client's timeline as a commitment, not a suggestion.
Every QWUST project is subject to our internal Quality Assurance program — a system of multi-stage inspections, third-party special inspections, and system commissioning that most contractors simply don't offer. We find problems before the client does, and we fix them before they become issues.
We don't charge a premium for doing the right thing. Sustainable practices — high-performance insulation, efficient MEP systems, responsible material sourcing — are baked into every QWUST project as a baseline standard, not an optional upgrade.
Our best clients are the ones who come back. After every project, we conduct 30-day, 6-month, and 12-month warranty reviews and assign a dedicated after-care coordinator. We invest in the relationship long after the ribbon is cut because we know that a QWUST building is only as good as the support behind it.
No project is too complex or too personal. Our team is ready to listen, assess, and deliver a plan that turns your vision into one of New York's next great buildings. The first consultation is always free.
